Marys Farmhouse Mint & Choc Ice-Cream (500ml)

There are two stages: Making the custard and freezing the ice cream. Unlike other producers we make up different types of custard, each made from fresh local milk & cream, fresh local eggs (separated in-house by hand) & British sugar. They combine to produce an excellent base that gives a real depth of flavour.

*Please Order By 0800 Tuesday* We began making ice cream over 20 years ago on our dairy farm in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. The company was created in the mid 1980s from the need to diversify away from the farming industry which was at that time being heavily restricted by the introduction of milk quotas. A decision was made to try and use some of the excess milk being produced, so we began making ice cream for our 3 children. This then extended to family and soon friends were also asking for our home made ice cream. It wasnt long before we made the decision to move away from farming completely and sold the farm to finance our new venture. Our son Rob joined us a few years ago, ensuring this really is a family business. From its inception we at Marys Farmhouse wanted to produce food that remained true to a home style of recipe. For this reason we set out with the ethos of being completely additive free, using only fresh, and wherever possible locally sourced ingredients. We have no condensed or synthetic flavours whatsoever - everything is made inhouse using fresh produce. It has taken many years to perfect our recipes, discarding completely any that didn’t reach our very high standards. This combination of factors has helped produce a fantastic range of ice creams, meringues and sorbets that have a real point of difference.
