As sisters, Katie and Laura both moved from Pembrokeshire to Cardiff at the age of 18 where they both studied at University and then continued to live and work in Cardiff for some years. At this time they would spend weekends trying and tinkering with recipes and force feeding friends and family with their inventions! This, together with an ever growing love for chocolate meant that Oh Sugarplum! was born... For several years, they made gifts for friends and family as Christmas or Birthday presents and gradually word spread until eventually it was time to take the plunge and start Oh Sugarplum! officially... They are now both based in Pembrokeshire where they run Oh Sugarplum! from a purpose built kitchen at their home. As well as the pre packed bags available here, they are also able to offer a wedding favour service as well as after dinner fudge or truffles to suit all occasions Oh Sugarplum! aims to provide homemade confectionery to a high standard, combining high class ingredients with unique ideas. Katie & Laura hope to develop the idea of making everyone’s favourite old fashioned sweets into sophisticated chocolates, providing nostalgia with a twist!
